Punchline, presented by That Other Paper

Altar Boyz

Altar Boyz has resurrected the awesomeness of musicals, and this Tuesday is the show’s opening night. Winner of the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, this musical spoof takes place on the last night of a super-hot Christian (with the exception of one Jewish member) boy band’s last night on their Raise the Praise tour. With such hits as “Girl, You Make Me Wanna Wait” and “Jesus Called Me On My Cell Phone,” it’s no surprise that this musical has a following of Altarholics. Kevin Bacon’s even a member.
